When a song feels just right, and you drift off as if it was real…

These are words I live by, unsure of where it comes from or even if I had come up with myself, I still live by it, and the meaning holds so true, our lives are very insignificant making up one out of however many billion, – a statistician will be sure to tell you that the odds are against you, yet by coming to understand one another, you really find that every single person – no exception has a story to tell, be it a problem, their family, or even how they are currently standing in this very spot, these stories fascinate me, it shows that even though each persons life is fairly insignificant relative to the population size, each of us lives a life worthy of thousands.

The lecturer in your university who speaks in a monotonous tone might have fought for his country. The blue-collar worker who you see grumbling on the bus every morning may be working his ass off to because his wife is in hospital. The man who you saw being tackled to the ground by policemen was only stealing to feed his family. Each and every individual has a story and is up to whether you wish to be a listener or a speaker. I choose the first; and it has honestly changed my view on the world, simply looking into a room of ten people, I can tell you that all ten have a story to tell, be it achievement, troubles, or even what they did today each provides a story worth listening.

And for the first thing, I am not religious, you cannot disjoin from reality and call it truth, that is merely wishful thinking. Our lives are made up of what is right in front of our eyes from our past, present, to our future, that is what defines us, not a greater being, being born blank slates, we merely make ourselves based on the influence both bad and good, yes that person comes from a fairly poor background, yes he doesn’t eat lunch with you because he says he’s ‘saving money’. Does this mean this person is bad? No.. He might be a greater man than most, brought up through respect and kindness shaping him min better than any gold or silver could afford.

This shapes each of us, and within each and every one, we hold stories, some small, some mighty, there is a story to be heard. These so called ‘life events’ each one of us encounters is the basis of these so called stories both big and small teach us great things, tinge otherwise unknown to us, yes academics will teach you greatly, and yes, intelligence will surely make you a great thinker, but then why are the greatest minds considered to have a gift? It’s because most great minds have a story, a background, shaping them to who they became.. I guess in a sense you can tell that I feel this is very important to me.. Maybe me alone but ah wells.. I guess some people miss out on stuff and others don’t… But then again, that’s life I guess….

Maybe this is something only I think about? I have no idea. But one thing I am sure of is, even if these people hurt me I will still hold them dear.

As Bob Marley once said

“Everbody will hurt you, it’s finding those that are worth getting hurt for”

But alas people change, those I thought I knew decided to keep their distance, so the only choice you have is to move on, that is, one thing we are flawed by as humans, and a species itself. Is the mere fact we are unable to hold onto relationships, maybe simply due to the fact that we, as humans feel the need to classify our relationships into meaningful classes – whereas less wise creatures merely rely on instinct, we over think even the simplest of things.

Ah what a sad life we live, a species which strives to understand others but will never be able to understand ourselves.

Nope, I lied no combo’s here… last post was like exactly a month or so ago, yeah…

sad times.

Well, might as well get started shouldn’t we..

So moving on this post will be about a very cool and unique sweet I bought at cyber candy in Soho called “Neru Neru Neru Grape DIY candy”

Well the cool thing about this sweet is the fact that it is pretty much a DIY sweet, yeah you make the sweet yourself (not for lazy people you see)

Opening up the packet we are presented with:

Very cool-some indeed , the packet comes with everything you need to eat the sweet, (aside from a little water) with each of the packets containing a new and strange mixture different from the one before

So following the instructions, it tells you to put one packet at a time, but you have to improvise and be quick on your feet you see, the third packet is placed in a separate part, so you can do both at once , So I placed both packet one and three into the sections and then added some water with the small corner tab used as a measure (see the Japanese think of everything!)

And after adding some water the mixture instantly turns purple! (Don’t forget they’ve also added a nice spoon ;D, ahh how good it looks for me to be making this strange concoction with a cheap plastic disposable science kit xD)

Oh nope we’re not finished yet! the second packet is added and as you can see this one is a bit different, in fact looks like sugar…

yet strangely enough when mixed in…

changed the mixture into a strange shade of gum! wow so colourful… O_O

(My mother would go crazy seeing the amount of colouring in this)

And here we go, you eat it as though you have a wet spade and have just scooped up sand at the beach

But, this thing tasted darn good, a strange sour-y grape-y taste but not quite..

tasted quite artificial actually… but it still was pretty tasty!

Yup a super-cool Google Chrome Shaped Giant Chocolate Thingy! xD

I love that sentence they use for the advertising, its really clever and witty, especially the fact that it is laid out with punctuation as if it was a slow browser.

…Yeah I’m a loser like that….

Anyways, yeah this chocolate is super-cool… but I haven’t actually eaten it yet lol

its actually just sitting downstairs in the cupboard…

So it might actually just end up going in the bin….

Oh well, we will have to see….

This post is actually long overdue from last September/October-ey time.

Yup, I’m Awesome like that…

Anyways onto the blog post, Recently (OK maybe not recently) I bought the new (not so new anymore) copy of Hobby Japan with Black Rock Shooter on the cover (Yay)

And what was that? A free gift? related to Black Rock Shooter? Sold. (even if the magazine set me back just under a tenner but what the heck I like Japanese magazines)

Severe disappointment awaited my naive self…

So leaving Orbital Comic’s in Chinatown and heading home, I popped on our ever so trusty public transport and got home in a jiffy as a true Brit would say…

I got home, opened up the packaging, and thought to myself, it looked good so far, very nice presentation in general..

Had a nice flick through the magazine, very nice large images, especially of the new Black Rock Shooter figures.

And if you look to the bottom right corner over there, is a nice image of the free gift in question, what is that I see? A Nendoroid? wow in that huge of a box? must be larger than a petite one then…

(if you are a bit lost a Nendoroid is a small deformed figure with a large head based on popular anime characters, the petite versions are smaller collectible versions that are a couple o’ centimeters tall, about 8 or the size of a thumb I say)

Excited with the prospect of a nice cool figure to put around the room I opened up the large cardboard box.

Huh whats that, thats awfully small….

Oh look, deception of the highest order, the figure was less than half the size of a petite figure and wasn’t even a figure at all! In a box 10 to 20 times the size of it!

at least its painted nicely…

It actually ended up being just a key chain… disappointment indeed..

Its actually still sitting around somewhere still in the box LOL for the next time I forget what it is, open it with excitement and get hit in the face with disappointment xD

yep, one of my faves,  Deep fried prawns in batter, or as known by the Japanese, prawn tempura.

hmm…. actually looking at that picture it looks more like chicken dippers LOL

Yep, was pretty tasty too, served with a mayonnaise and/or ketchup dip

And yes this is the end of our very, very long journey… and I am quite sad… *sniff*

makes me so sad, I might have to shed a tear LOL

yes, even tough guys can cry…….sometimes

But yeah its not like I won’t post about food anymore, there still will be posts, just less frequent and stuff…

Yup so called heart-attack-in-a-box MacDonald’s, with a choice of some strange chicken burger or other from the festive menu.

And let me just say, I’m not that big of a fan of MacDee’s in general, but, and a big but, I do enjoy stuff from their speciality menu’s – you know, the stuff labeled as 100% percent beef and stuff?

So yeah.. MacDee’s every once in a while is nice, but definitely not too much,

And tomorrow will be our last post in this journey, so… lets go out with a bang hey?
